The score category depressed my oh so much this year for the embarrassing and hideous disqualification of Jonny Greenwood's monumentally inventive, thundering score for There Will Be Blood-- seriously was there a better piece of music attached to a film in 2007. It was new and possitively haunting. Getting over this crapola, my favorite in the bunch is Marianelli's click-clak music for Atonement, it fit perfectly while adjusting the film merkier notes. I think it's probably the favorite, after the Golden Globe win, but Howard might win for Michael Clayton is a small way of honoring the film. Giacchino might sneak up, almost purely for his great contribution to The Incredibles. Could go anywhere.
